Tethers of the Lost World
What is Tethers of the Lost World?
Created by Wes the Storyteller, Max Hunter, and several of their friends, Tethers of the Lost World takes place in the fantasy land of Speranza where five magical comets have landed and granted the people of the land supernatural powers. The Fire Comet gave birth to a deity known as the Phoenix, Her values upheld by the Mountain region's army, the Hellfire Gladiators. The Wind Comet ruined a part of the land after dragging the storms down with it, its people becoming powerful warriors, engineers, and/or drug addicts. The Earth Comet sprouted a large lustrous forest which the elves along with a deity known as ThornWell call its home. The Water Comet landed in a lake which gave the water and the people living by the lake healing abilities. The Lunar Comet is controlled by an evil entity known only as Father Cosmos who controls an equally evil cult known as the Shadowkin that are looking to take over Speranza and the Lost World.

What is the Plot?
Though there is a whole host of colorful characters, the series mainly focuses on a former Shadowkin assassin named Nisha (red hair and black hoodie). Nisha had managed to run away from her twisted destiny and join a group looking to put an end to the Shadowkin known as the Resistance led by a team of powerful warriors from each of the five regions. However, Nisha isn't quite done with the City and hopes to uncover more information about her past and the Shadowkin as a whole. It's here she runs into a City rat named Ryder (the one holding the bat) and eventually reunites with her past lover, a pirate captain named Flint Striker (the one with the hat) and his band of Underground Pirates. Together along with the Resistance and whatever other help they find along the way, the City trio plans to take down the Shadowkin back home and also save the mysterious Lost World.
What is the Resistance?
The Resistance are the heroes of the series with the goal of taking down the Shadowkin and restoring order to Speranza. It is led by five of the most powerful warriors from each of the five regions: General Phoenix from the Fire Mountains (top left), Godar from the Storm Wastelands (top right), Lily from the Forest of Strength (bottom left), Iravan from the Enchanted Lake Village (bottom right), and Nisha from the City of Death (from the section above).
Phoenix is the leader of both the Resistance and the Hellfire Gladiators who personally assembled this team of people to help him achieve his goals of peace and prosperity to the land.
Godar is a Wastelander that has incredible lightning and storm powers that he uses against his enemies, however he's running on a shattered mental state that was the result of a battle.
Lily is a shy and studious elven woman known to honor the fallen by planting flowers and keep records on all kinds of information about the land and its people.
Iravan is a wise sage and medicine man that abhors violence yet is willing to lend a hand in any way he can to help stop the Shadowkin.
What is the Shadowkin?
The Shadowkin are a mysterious cult that operates in and controls Speranza's central region, the City of Death. They have acquired their dark powers from both the Lunar Comet and a powerful evil deity known as Paranoia, the Queen of Madness. The cult itself is led by an even more powerful yet mysterious being named Father Cosmos. Father Cosmos wields a powerful gauntlet made out of the Lunar Comet's obsidian known as the Hand of God. This Hand controls all of the Shadowkin members as their powers are tethered to the hand.
The Shadowkin consists of assassins, scribes, scouts, tax collectors, and other roles that are divided into four ranks: Freshmen, Pros, Specialists, and Elites. Every Elite (or two) controls their own Shadowkin cult house in which they control and command the lower ranks. These cult houses are all over the City. The Shadowkin mainly use their power and obsidian weapons to control the City, recruit new members, tax the people, and assassinate any unwanted targets. The cult's ultimate goal is to control all of Speranza and also take control of a mysterious powerful planet known as the Lost World, the possible source of the five comets.
What is the Underground Pirates?
The Underground Pirates are a gang that lives in the City's sewer system which they call the Labyrinth. They are led by former Hellfire Gladiator turned drunken pirate captain, Cap'n Flint Striker (middle). Through meeting Nisha, he acquired his own shadow creature known as Firestarter that mimics his behaviors while also granting him strange powers such as shapeshifting and possessing other people whether they be alive or dead. The most notable members of Flint's crew are his nervous first mate, John Myers (left) and his sardonic handyman and bodyguard, Patrick Starburton (right). Despite their opposite personalities, both John and Patrick would eventually fall in love through shared compassion for each other. Other members include an explosive one-armed madman named William, a beefy axe wielding Forester named Wade the Dude, and a German Shepard name Morgan.
